Gameplay Features and Balance

To make the game more comfortable and fair, our servers apply a few changes on top of the classic gameplay.

Combat tweaks

• Reduced incoming damage. All players take about 30% less damage from monsters than in the original game. This is applied on top of your perk’s own resistances, so survival feels a little more forgiving — especially for newcomers. (Does not apply on player-vs-player servers.)
• Softer Siren scream. The Siren’s scream deals about 40% less damage to players, so getting caught in it is no longer an instant disaster.

Quality of life

• Anti-AFK. Players who stand completely still for too long are moved to spectator (with a warning first), to keep slots free for active players. Just move or look around to stay in the game.
• Reconnect recovery. If the game crashes or you get disconnected, reconnect within a few minutes and your money and scoreboard progress for the current map are restored.
